Sharepoint Licence
We are a NFP with board members all over the country. We would like to put together a virtual office and believe that Sharepoint may be the way to go? I believe we need to purchase the Sharepoint Licence and then Microsoft Office 2010 for our members? Any help you can give would be great.

I would look at office 365 for this purpose as they give discounts for nfp and has sharepoint build into it saving the hassle of building a sharepoint website. Contact us at support@kingcomputer.com.au or 1300 546 474 if you would like some pricing or to discuss the office 365 option further.Reply by Colin Thompson from TechBrain on Friday, 16 March, 2012 - 16:17
Certainly by buying your software from Donortec and building your own environment you will avoid having to pay for it repeatedly. The cost of NFP Office 365 is about half that of normal pricing but is still an ongoing cost as opposed to a once off cost. As long as the installation and configuration of the server environment is something that you can handle you will be far better off installing and running your own environment. You will need Office http://www.donortec.org/microsoft/microsoft-office-professional-plus-2007 You might also need Sharepoint if you don't have it already...either http://www.donortec.org/microsoft/microsoft-sharepoint-server-2007-enterprise-edition or http://www.donortec.org/microsoft/microsoft-sharepoint-server-2010-standard-edition You will also need Cal's (User or Device)....Note that if you buy Enterprise edition, you need a Standard Cal AND an Enterprise Cal for EACH user.
