Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010?
Hi, We have just purchased a new computer for our organisation. It will be networked with an existing computer using Microsoft Office 2007. If we purchase Office 2010 will this be compatible with the 2007 version. Is it advisable to upgrade to the 2010 version? Thank you, Virginia. Hi Virginia, There is no problem with using documents created in 2007 with 2010 - they use the same file format. If you are sending files from 2007 or 2010 to someone using an older version of office, you need to use the "Save as" has option to save it as a .doc or .xls instead of .docx or .xlsx file. It is advisable to move to office 2010, more because there were some bugs in 2007 causing performance issues, but compatibility is not a problem.
