Refurbished Computer initial set up
Hi, We have been fortunate enough to have 2 refurbished computers donated to our foundation. We have purchased the necessary Microsoft software and I am in the middle of trying to set it all up. When I turn on the computer the initial screen has a message saying "NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart". If I press Ctrl-Alt-Del it just continues to come up with the same error message. Are you able to offer any advice on how to get past this screen so I can set up the computer with all the necessary software? Many thanks for your help. Henrietta

Hi, The problem is that the harddrives have been wiped but the NT Loader bootstrap is still there, I would therefore assume these had Windows Server of some type on them. You just need to boot to the BIOS, change the boot up option to CD/DVD (pressing F11 on bootup sometimes gives this option too), then load a new operating system. If that doesn't help, let me know.
