Software for Intranet
We have purchased from DonorTec in the past and our organisation benefited enormously from the software we received. We are now looking for some software (I think it is software) that will enable us to have something like an intranet or at least a front page on each computer at start up that can be updated with current things staff should know. Is there any software that would enable this. Thanks, Jill B.

Hi Jill Sharepoint is a Microsoft product that can be used for intranet and can be set up with a home page that features the type of information you refer to. If you use Windows Small Business Server, it may just be a matter of setting it up, no additional license fees. Please let me know if we can help you with further information. If you are not running an sbs server or find sharepoint does not provide the simplicity required is to use an open source website content management system - the most popular ones we have implemented for clients as intranets are wordpress, drupal and joomla.
