Anyone using the NFP Salesforce as a sporting club?

I noticed that the eligibility guidelines for the Salesforce NFP "Power of Us" program seem to require organisations to be either a registered charity (ACNC status) or be an organisation registered as a Deductible Gift Recipient organisation. As a grassroots community sports club we are obviously neither a charity or have DGR status. Anyone out there in a grassroots sporting club using the Salesforce Power of Us program? If so, what did you to do make yourself eligible? I'm trying to get my club onto a CRM to make emailing various members of our club community much easier than the current collection of spreadsheets allows. Thanks.

Hi there, I would say you do qualify. As you drill down into the full requirements list of options, there is one that states 'Your primary purpose is nonprofit sports body'. Which is exactly what you are. You can email them to ask them if you qualify - they have teams that actually do the assessment and know what paperwork / proof you need to supply. If you do go forth with SalesForce, remember it's a beast of a piece of software, so be really clear what you need it for and how you will use it. I'd also recommend using the suggested implementation partners that SalesForce has. If you are thinking that you just want to email out with tracking, perhaps you should look at far more simple CRM's (Customer relationship management systems) such as Agile CRM. If you would like someone to chat to about this, I'm more than happy to help. My work number is 0404 511 592. Hi, you will more than likely qualify. Although as @Kate says below it is an absolute beast and given the high turnover a sports club committee (~2 years) you need to think of the generation after you and if they will have the skills (and more seriously the budget). I went through the same thing when I built TIDYHQ.com. In fact, I was consulting with Salesforce at the time I started building it. Salesforce was just too expensive with respect to training time, complexity, configuration requirements etc. We now work with the AFL, NRL and others on the grassroots clubs as the platform does nearly everything a sports club needs but at a level that is better suited for a volunteer workforce. Hope that all makes sense and good luck with whichever direction you go with. Thank you both for your answers. You've certainly given me more to think about (what else is the off-season for? :D ). I appreciate it.
