Rack Mount PCs

Hi, can any of the suppliers provide rack-mount PCs (1RU or 2RU)? Either new or refurb? Or even just barebone cases that we could build in?

We can certainly help you with that. If you let me know the configuration you're chasing I'll get you prices. One question that must be asked tho, why rack mounted pcs? Unless you have very specific requirements it sounds like a clumsy solution.

We're just looking at options at the moment. I was thinking rackmount would be nice and compact for in-studio PCs, so we coud just have a small rack under the desk return, and mount the PCs in there with the other rackmount equipment we use in the studio. We use software audio codes so they don't need fancy audio cards, the on-board video would be fine. Something like a high-end i5 or mid i7 with 250gb SSD + 1tb HDD, 2 NICs, 8gb-16gb RAM, Win10.

Hi RhemaCC, if you wish to keep it simple buy a rack with shelving and purchase small form factor desktops to sit on the shelves. If its under a desktop connect them to a KVM switch so all you need it one monitor, keyboard and mouse. Nick Mullen Halkin IT 0418 441 189
