CRM (?) Software for non-profit
IT services - Asked by suzanne pritchard on Tuesday, 15 November, 2016 - 09:07
Hi, I'm looking to implement a database for our organisation to manage - volunteer details, roles and hours - membership details, renewals - fundraising goals The following would also be useful, but not imperative - grant administration - integration with MailChimp - integration with MYOB Our organisation is a small Landcare-based community not-for-profit. We operate a community nursery (and also require a system to be able to track sales and when members last visited etc) We have a small staff of 6-10 who primarily make up our bush regeneration unit. This fee-for-service activity generates income to support our community education and volunteer natural area restoration activites. I'm looking for a platform that is cost-effective (would be great if we could buy it outright as opposed to having a monthly fee) and easy to use, as many of our volunteers have limited experience with tech. Kind regards, Lauren

Hi Lauren, we implement Salesforce CRM for non profits including integrations with websites, MailChimp and other tools. The great thing about Salesforce is they give away 10 free licences to non profits and a >70% discount on subsequent licences if needed. We're actually working with other Landcare entities and would be more than happy to assist with this for you. Feel free to email me on justin@alphasys.com.au if you'd like to investigate this further.Reply by Donna Orchard from Orchard Consulting Group Pty Ltd on Tuesday, 15 November, 2016 - 10:14
Hi Lauren, Your project sounds really interesting and just thought I'd pass on our details if you're interested. We're a team of Business Analysts and Project Managers and work specifically in the not-for-profit space to assist organisations to 'find the right software for your business'. We have significant experience in the sector and would be keen to assist with your software procurement project. There is an abundant of software on the market, and choosing the right platform is crucial (not to mention tricky!). I'd be more than happy to give you a call and discuss. Our website is www.orchardcg.com.au and email is donna@orchardcg.com.au Best wishes, Donna.Reply by Adam Kwiatkowski from DevApp on Tuesday, 15 November, 2016 - 10:22
Hi Lauren, Feel free to check our http://www.civicrm.org, which is open source (free) database software designed for NFPs. CiviCRM will handle volunteers, memberships and fundraising. The software integrates into your existing web site, meaning there are no additional hosting fees. - There is a free mail chimp extension, which will sync your database contacts with Mailchimp. - Currently, there isn't an MYOB extension for CiviCRM, however we're about 80% complete building one for a client. Feel free to check out the CiviCRM manual if you want to get a feel for the software: https://docs.civicrm.org/user/en/stable/ Alternatively, I would be happy to demo the software to you. Lauren, you have access through connecting up or through the charitable donations in Microsoft Online Services to Dynamics 365/CRM. You have choices around putting it on premises (in your office with a traditional purchase), or in the cloud through subscriptions. There are good CRM/NFP partners around the country that can implement the functionality you are after, with many good partners already having the CRM ready for a NFP like yourself. We work around the country with organisations like yours. CRM has integration to MailChimp, MYOB, eCommerce sites for sales (like Magento and others). If you wanted to chat about your needs, feel free to give me a call on 1300 792 700 or 0418448228. Hi Lauren, We have built the TidyHQ (dot) com platform to do exactly what you were after (because MS Dynamics was too heavy and confusing, and CiviCRM wasn't far behind) We integrate with Mailchimp and about to integrate with Xero (once we have nailed down Xero we will be looking towards MYOB). We have over 3000 organisations from all over the world playing with it and many sound just like you, with community gardens and other groups on it. We also do memberships, event ticketing, financial reconciling, meeting minutes, roles, tasks, comms etc. Our focus is on good governance and easy to use administration (our oldest users are in their 80's!) Let me know if we can help! Cheers, Isaak CEO, FounderReply by Glenn Arkell from Glenn Arkell on Tuesday, 15 November, 2016 - 18:02
Hi Lauren, Just in case none of these off-the-shelf offerings suit your needs, I would be happy to work with you to build you an application hanging off your website (which has a database) easily accessible to your registered volunteers. I have worked for several Landcare groups to assist with their websites and project specific requirements to support their "data collection" and network communication functions. Anyway, give me a call if you wish to chat. Cheers. Glenn Arkell 0419 384 275 glenn@glennarkell.com.au
