Digital Certificates for internet
IT services - Asked by shoalcoast clc on Tuesday, 18 October, 2016 - 12:24
I work in a medium sized community organisation (16 staff) and staff accessing the system remotely are getting a message about our site not having a current certificate. What product do I need to purchase to fix this and where can i get it? Thanks, Anne

Hi Anne, If your system is a web based application, it is possible your SSL Certificate on the site has expired and needs renewing. If that's the case, whomever built and/or currently hosts the site might be in the best position to assist you. Most IT companies will be able to renew the SSL certificate on your behalf, however they'll need access to the hosting platform behind the system to install it. If the system isn't web based, could you provide a little more detail on the system you are accessing. regards, AndrewReply by Nick Mullen from Halkin IT on Tuesday, 18 October, 2016 - 13:53
Hi Anne if you could tell us how your staff are accessing your site remotely we could give you options to rectify. It does sound like the message is looking for an SSL certificate but what type and where it should be installed will depend on how you access the system. Nick Mullen Halkin IT
