Exchange Enterprise 2016 license

We currently purchased the Exchange Enterprise 2016 license. Does this cover the license for the Edge Transport Server (physically on a 2nd machine)? If not, does it have to be a 2nd Exchange Enterprise server 2016 license or just Standard?

Hi, Generally if it is on a second physical machine you need an extra license but you would only need standard, probably for the edge transport server. But will check this and update if necessary. If you need a hand to set this up, give us an email @ grant@blendedit.com.auReply by Andrew Davis from ANDLIN Network Management on Monday, 21 December, 2015 - 16:47
You only require a standard licence as per http://exchangeserverpro.com/exchange-2016-server-editions-and-licenses/ The licenses exchange vs standard only effect the amount of databases you may have, as such the edge has no benefit from enterprise.
