Do I need a license for running SQL server 2008/2014 in my test/development environment? I am working in a Not-for-profit organisation.

Hi, Microsoft does require that you have licenses for a test or development environment. What we would normally recommend is a MSDN Platforms subscription which gives access to Windows Server and SQL Server for development and test environments. This licenses is available at a discount for registered charities. More details are here: https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/products/msdn-platforms-vs If you send me your details to tristan.hough@myrtec.com.au I can confirm the charity pricing for you Thanks Tristan Hough Myrtec - Account Manager
