Hello. As a number of respondents have noted it's difficult to respond adequately to your question without an appreciation of the purpose of the proposed audit. We can complete an operational review of ICT activities, including amongst other things an initial technology audit. We'd be happy to provide a fee proposal if that's the sort of thing you're after. Hi there, we have been providing formal independent IT Audits for over ten years. These review all technology in your business and compare it to industry best practice. Importantly, the report is written in plain English so that non-technical boards and management teams can use the information without needing an "interpreter". Hi there. There are a couple of important things about getting an IT Audit performed: 1. They must know what they are doing and... 2. You must trust them. I would suggest you identify 2 or 3 IT service providers in your area and ask to meet with them. Sit down and talk to them about your IT, problems, concerns and what you want to achieve. Listen to the technical answers by all means, but also consider how you feel about them. If you get the feeling you are being sold a story or up-sold into the latest and greatest that you might not need, scratch them off the list. Repeat the process til you have 2 or 3 you feel comfortable with and then select the one you feel MOST comfortable with. The important aspect of an ICT audit is to determine what outcomes you want to get out of it. Knowing the desired outcome will help you to determine the most effective method of conducting an audit. For example if it is a purely technical audit then an automated audit tool run on each PC may be suitable. However i suspect that you are hoping to use the audit results for a solution design, so a more more personal approach which includes some process mapping and stakeholder consultation may be necessary. Infoxchange works with all sizes of not for profit organisations across Australia to help design the most appropriate solutions for each organisation and can assist you with audits, solution design, business analysis and implementation. Feel free to contact me to discuss this further - mwalton@infoxchange.org.au or (03)9418-7432.Reply by Grant Laing from Blended IT Solutions on Thursday, 5 March, 2015 - 12:05
Hi, As mentioned in some of the answers here, you need to work out what you are looking for from your audit. But there is many different types of audits we provide from complete organziational to just network, user and software audits. We also do complete security audits as well. These audits can be conducted either onsite or remote, and we produce a comprehensive report that is easy to understand with recommendations at the end. Then it is up to the client where they go with this from there. If you wish to discuss this further please email us @ sales@blendedit.com.au and we cn arrange a phone hookup to discuss this further, and also to get the right outcome for what you are looking for. Thanks Grant
