Issues with installation of MS Office 2013

I cannot install the VLC version of Office 2013. I get the following: Error 25004. The product key you entered cannot be used on this machine. This is most likely due to previous Office 2013 trials being installed. (system error – 2147217387). Note: • I have not entered a product key. • I had uninstalled the previous version of Office 2013 – an Office 365 trial. • I was installing from the disk having downloaded the program from VLC. • The installation go to near the end and then the Bootstrapper ceased working and it wound back the installation. I have done the following. 1. Did a system restore and then used the Microsoft Office 2013 removal tool to uninstall Office 2013. 2. I ran the install disk again only to get the same error as above. 3. I ran regedit HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office to see if the “Registration” key was still there. 4. Yes it was 15.0 (which is Office 2013) and so was a bunch of other data that had not been altered. I do not touch the Registry and therefore left things as they are but I still cannot install Office 2013. Can you please assist and let me know how to proceed from here.
