Excel 2010 spreadsheets. Cannot access ribbons unless file is minimised and maximised
When I open an excel spreadsheet, I cannot access the ribbons unless I minimise and maximise the spreadsheet. Once I have minimised and maximised, the program works perfectly. This happens in files converted from Excel 2003 and new files created in Excel 2010 either with entirely new data, or with data copies from old spreadsheets. Data can be typed into the spreadsheet, and the program may or may not save it. I have tried repair under Control Panel, and it fixed it temporarily for some spreadsheets but not for others. I am reluctant to uninstall and reinstall, but consider that to be my next option unless somebody can give me a fix. Ihave checked microsoft support and one user had the same problem with excel 2007. The responses directed him to do something with his registers whatever they are. I have been using spreadsheets since 1987, so I am comfortable with Excel generally.

hi, the easy fix would be just to re-install it, unless you have lots of macros or similar. It sounds like the program is corrupted somehow, did you happen to install a excel add-on, or program that plug-ins into excel? If this is the case i would uninstall the program, and then try a repair on excel, and then re-install the program. If you continue to have issues feel free to email or call us. Hi There, You can also use "Ctrl+F1" to restore the ribbon if it is minimised. You might have minimised it at some point. Cheers. Regards Colin Thompson Blue Networks & Technology http://www.bluenetworks.com.au
