I have a problem with my access database not allowing me to create any more queries and was wondering if I can get some advice.

Try compact & repair first, and let us know what the actual error message is, as well as the version of Access, type of query etc. How many objects (tables / forms / reports / etc) have you got in there? And how large is the database? lastly, are you accessing it via a network share, with other people using the database simultaneously?Reply by Grant Laing from Blended IT Solutions on Tuesday, 10 May, 2011 - 23:35
Hi, if you can provide the exact error then we can help with this, but normally this caused by the number of rows is to big, someone else has it open, or it has been moved on the fileshare and has lost it's permissons. Thanks GrantReply by interchange shoalhaven on Wednesday, 11 May, 2011 - 09:46
The message says you do not have the necessary permissions to use the mdb object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you. The database is Access 2000 file format I have 1 table 427 records & 25 queries and it is on network share. I have called in our it guy and he could not work it out. Thanks for your assistance
