licensing for Symantec Protection Suite Small Business Edition.
We are a bit confused as to how many licenses we should purchase when buying the Symantec Protection Suite Small Business Edition for our charity. We currently run 4 VMS (virtual servers) on one physical server, have 60 user computers in our office and have about 150 email mailboxes on Microsoft exchange. So does that mean we should purchase either: 4 x $5 licenses (servers only) OR 64 x $5 licenses (servers and PC only) OR 214 X $5 licenses (servers, PC, Mailboxes)

Hi, A quick answer to this from the info you supplied is the following; a licence for every server a licence for every user computer and an exchange based licence for the mailboxes I assume you are buying these through donortec, if you are you will need the following products; Symantec Endpoint Protection (Protection for 1 Endpoint) x 65. 1 for each computer and 1 for each virtual server and 1 for the physical server. Symantec Mail Security 6.0 for Microsoft Exchange (Protection for 1 User) x 150 for the email boxes. I would not worry about the small business edition as this usually licence limited, unless this has changed. If you select the products above then you won't have any issues if you grow more as well. Have you had experience installing this product and the management console before? Happy to help if needed, as this can get tricky in the order that it needs to installed so everything is managed from the one point. If you have any other questions feel free to contact us. thanks Grant
