Hi, If you need fourteen computers protected you will be needing the 20 user pack. The main difference is only where the product is managed from, The on-premise means that the management console is installed on one of machines in house, and all updates and other management functions are performed from there. The cloud based one is managed from the bitdefender cloud management platform. If you have good internet speed go for the cloud based one, as all the installation will be done from there, if you have poor internet speed use the other one. As with any of these products that are managed, normally they are not straight forward, as they expect you would have an IT company install and manage them for you. If you want to install it yourself, the best way would be get the unmanaged versions, as these will be just download the software and run the install wizard, then they will all update on their own through the internet.(no management required) If you want to go down the other path give us an email and happy to help. I'm not overly familiar with BitDefender but it seems to test well from some quick research I've performed. If you don't have a dedicated IT person and you aren't overly IT savvy I'd be inclined to go for a cloud solution as it will be easier to establish the service and manage. Depending on how you operate you may need more than just AV protection, other vendors solutions may be a better fit. My suggestion is to talk to IT providers and work with someone who works out what you need and delivers a solution that is right for you. A couple of things I think you need to know is AV software is something you need but it isn't going to protect you against all threats. The other thing is just because Connecting up is offering a heavily discounted product it may not be the right solution for you, there may be better and cheaper solutions for you. Happy to chat to you if you want some additions advice/info. Jason - 02 8209 6488Reply by robinsonreserve on Tuesday, 1 December, 2015 - 15:08
Hi I would suggest you go for Avast Antivirus Free edition for basic cover. It works as well as any and can just be activated with an email address for 12 months use. I use that at a few Neighborhood Houses and it has been working with out problems for the last couple of years. Tim 0421043090
