Installing microsoft office - keeping old outlook contacts & calendar
Can anyone tell me if uninstalling a previous version of Microsoft Office Pro will delete all my contacts and calendar in Outlook. I want to install new software

The short answer is that yes, in principle you can keep your existing Outlook contacts and calendar. How you do this depends on the version of Office/Outlook you're using and the version you're intending to upgrade to. Generally you must ensure that you preserve the existing Outlook .PST file - either by backup or copying it to another location. Once you have installed your new Office software you will need to import the contacts and calendar into the new version of Outlook. Hi There, A handy little "How To" is at http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/outlook-help/move-contacts-to-another-computer-HA001105393.aspx. If you already uninstalled, the .pst file will still be there anyway...usually in something like C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\UserName.pst but it depends on the version of outlook.
