Adding Windows 8 to our Multiple Boot System
Hi, We at ComputerPals Newcastle are preparing to add Windows 8 to our Student Computers. At present we have our computers dual or triple booting with XP, and Windows 7 or XP, Vista and Windows 7. This is because we teach Seniors and the is still a demand for the older systems. I would like to know if the Windows 8 Pro Upgrade for which we are eligible will allow us to add Windows 8 to a separate partition on our hard drives. Regards Lindsay Threadgate

Hi Lindsay, I haven't tested this yet, but i would say no at this stage, the upgrade looks for the pre-installed windows version and won't go any further if there isn't one it recongizes, same thing with win7. You would be better to get a full copy version if you want to do this. I would also use a boot manager product, to seperate out the different OS's, as win 8 is very different from the other versions and could cause issues with the normal boot manager. If you want anymore info feel free to email us.
