Outlook 2012 work on a terminal server
Hello - we have recently set up our MYOB Accounting on a terminal server and need to install outlook to enable emails to be sent. Our IT consultant needs us to confirm that Outlook 2010 can be installed on a terminal server? Thank you

As long as its an Open license and you have enough licenses for all users, then you can install Outlook.Reply by Vittorio Baiocchi from Hi-Performance Technologies Pty Ltd on Monday, 17 September, 2012 - 14:49
Any sort of volume license, including Open as mentioned above - http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/buy/how-to-buy-office-2010-through-volume-licensing-HA101809925.aspx And confirmation that volume licensing will install - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff506201.aspx If you bought Office from ConnectingUp/Donortec, it will most likely be a volume license. Double check that you have Office in your Microsoft licensing portal under Licensing > License Summary - https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/servicecenter/default.aspxReply by Grant Laing from Blended IT Solutions on Thursday, 20 September, 2012 - 10:13
Yes, you certainly can install outlook 2010 on a terminal server, try to make sure it is an win2008 based server though, as this will mean less hassles and instability. Make sure you have enough licensing for number of people connecting to treminal server for outlook and the terminal server. eg. if 5 users are connecting to the terminal server, then you will need 5 licences of outlook and 5 RDS services licences as well. if you need anymore help with this please let us know.Reply by Colin Thompson from TechBrain on Friday, 21 September, 2012 - 10:09
Note that you might have problems getting MYOB to link into Outlook if Outlook was not installed before MYOB. If this is the case, then the fix is to simply remove and re-install MYOB. Regards Colin Thompson Blue Networks & Technology http://www.bluenetworks.com.au
